New Shirts October 29, 2008

Here are two new shirts I made for Harper a little while ago and I am just now getting around to posting them. I found both shirts for pretty cheap and then just made them a little cuter. I would much rather drop three bucks on a shirt for Harper and then do my own thing to it, than pay $15 for an already cute shirt at the store. It just makes more sense to me. Anyways I really like how they both turned out and Harper looks pretty cute wearing them. She actually wore the tree shirt in a family photo we had taken recently when we got Hud’s newborn pictures taken. She enjoys talking about the tree and the animals that might live in it. Too funny.

M is for Maddux October 22, 2008

This shirt was ordered by Sarah in Virginia for her little boy Maddux. She saw the letter “e” shirt I made for little Emma and had to have a “m” shirt for her Maddux. I love these layered tees I found and I know Maddux will be too cute spoting his shirt. Thanks Sarah for your business.

Baby August October 21, 2008

A while back I ran across the blog of a girl I went to college with, Maris Bush. She and her husband Steven have been blogging about their adoption of there little boy August, who they recently met. I was so intrigued with their story and you can check it out for yourself here. I loved keeping up with their blog and their whole story so once August arrived I really wanted to make something for him. Steven, August’s dad, raised a lot of their adoption money by taking photographs so I thought how appropriate for August to have a cool shirt with a camera on it. I hope August looks too cute in his shirt. Thanks Steven and Maris for sharing your sweet story with others.

Transportation October 15, 2008

This order was placed by Jamie for her little boys room.  He has some really great transportation bedding that is quilted so Jamie wanted me to use stitching in these three pieces.  I decided to do them in mixed media form.  The car hauler and truck are on 12×12 canvases and the helicopter is on a 18×18 canvas.  Jamie is going to hang them over his bed with the helicopter in the middle and the 12×12s flanked on either side.  I think it is going to look too cute on his walls.  I hope you love them Jamie and thanks again for your business.

Little Blue Bird October 11, 2008

This shirt is actually for Harper. I found this cute little plain long sleeved shirt and Harper is totally obsessed with birds and dinosaurs lately. So I opted for a bird…seemed a little more feminine :) . I think it’s pretty cute and I know Harper will LOVE it and look pretty cute sporting it too.

Sister & Brother Turkeys October 9, 2008

Well the Kelley family is back in the full swing of things and our new family of 4 is doing great.  So back to work I get.  This order was placed by Amie in Mississippi.  She wanted turkeys for her 4 year-old daughter and 6 month-old little boy.  I suggested using a few more girly fabrics in her daughter’s turkey and I think it turned out really cute.  And I love little brother’s shirt as well, especially with the built in under khaki shirt.  Thanks again Amie for your business.  Hope your little ones love their turkey shirts.

Isn’t that a cute little hand?  Harper just really likes to get involved in my pictures.  :)
